METLIFE COUNTDOWN SWEEPSTAKES WINNER CATCHES ULTIMATE PRIZE

Winner to Pull Yankee Stadium Regular Season Countdown Lever and Take His Place In Yankee Stadium History

MetLife announced today that Ron Glick of New York City has won the MetLife Countdown Sweepstakes. The winner, selected through a random drawing of over 47,000 entries, received the ultimate fan prize, the opportunity to pull the Yankee Stadium Regular Season Countdown Lever and to add his name to the list of celebrities and former Yankees greats, such as Yogi Berra, Paul O’Neill, Billy Crystal, Lance Armstrong, and David Cone, who have pulled the Lever as we celebrate the final days of Yankee Stadium.

Glick, the MetLife Countdown Sweepstakes, winner was very excited about the opportunity to be a part of Yankee Stadium history. He stated, "I didn’t believe it! When I was contacted by a caller who said he was from MetLife, I didn't think I had won the sweepstakes – but I did." Glick, an avid Yankees fan since he was five years old said, "I was stunned."

Following the 5th inning on September 13, Glick will pull the Yankee Stadium Regular Season Countdown Lever that will drop the number on the Yankee Stadium Regular Season Countdown Clock from nine to eight. This New York Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays game is scheduled to broadcast on the YES Network.

MetLife’s sponsorship of the Yankee Stadium Regular Season Countdown Sign helps to mark the final days of the "House that Ruth Built" and the sweepstakes provided fans with an exciting way to celebrate the Stadium and become a part of its history. In addition to pulling the Lever, Glick will receive a meet and greet with Yankees Manager Joe Girardi, on-field access to view batting practice prior to the game, four premium tickets to the game, a tour of Monument Park and a gift bag courtesy of MetLife and the New York Yankees.

The MetLife Countdown Sweepstakes was open to legal residents age 21 or older, of NY, NJ or CT, residing within a 75-mile radius of Yankee Stadium from August 3, 2008 – September 7, 2008.
